Welcome to Newham Skip Hire. By utilizing our skip hire services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please review these terms carefully before making a booking.
2. Definitions
- Customer: The individual or organization hiring the skip.
- Skip: The waste container provided by Newham Skip Hire.
- Hire Period: The duration for which the skip is rented.
- Services: All services provided by Newham Skip Hire, including delivery, pickup, and waste disposal.
3. Booking and Payment
3.1 Booking Process
Customers can book a skip through our online platform or by contacting our service team. Accurate and complete information must be provided to ensure efficient service delivery.
3.2 Payment Terms
Full payment is required at the time of booking. We accept various payment methods including credit/debit cards and bank transfers. Invoices will be issued upon confirmation of booking.
3.3 Pricing and Fees
Pricing is based on the size and type of skip, as well as the hire period. Additional services or extensions may incur extra charges. All prices are subject to change without prior notice.
4. Hire Period
The hire period starts on the date of skip delivery and ends on the scheduled collection date. Requests for extensions must be made at least 24 hours before the initial collection date and are subject to availability and additional fees.
5. Delivery and Collection
5.1 Delivery
We aim to deliver the skip on the agreed date. Customers must ensure that the delivery location is accessible and that space is available for skip placement. Delays caused by inaccessible locations may result in rescheduling without liability for Newham Skip Hire.
5.2 Collection
On the collection date, customers must ensure that the skip is empty and ready for removal. Failure to do so may result in additional fees. Newham Skip Hire reserves the right to refuse collection if the skip is not prepared.
6. Use of the Skip
6.1 Proper Usage
The skip must be used solely for the disposal of waste generated during your project. Overloading, tipping, or misuse can lead to damage to the skip or surrounding property and may incur additional charges.
6.2 Placement of Skip
Skip placement should not block access to public areas, driveways, or utilities. It is the customer’s responsibility to obtain any necessary permissions from local authorities or property owners prior to placement.
7. Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited from disposal in our skips:
- Hazardous substances, including chemicals, asbestos, and flammable materials.
- Electrical appliances containing harmful components.
- Vehicles, large machinery, or any heavy equipment.
- Medicines, pharmaceuticals, and other sensitive materials.
- Gas bottles, propane tanks, or other pressurized containers.
- Organic waste that may attract pests, such as food waste or animal remains.
Any attempt to dispose of prohibited items will result in the immediate termination of the hire agreement and potential legal action.
8. Customer Responsibilities
- Ensure that the skip is used in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide accurate information regarding the type and volume of waste to be disposed of.
- Maintain the skip in a clean and operational condition throughout the hire period.
- Promptly notify Newham Skip Hire of any issues or damages to the skip.
9. Newham Skip Hire Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect the skip in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide skips that meet health and safety standards.
- Ensure proper disposal and recycling of collected waste in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Maintain clear communication with customers regarding service status and any changes.
10. Liability
10.1 Limitation of Liability
Newham Skip Hire shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or loss of data.
10.2 Insurance
Customers are advised to insure their property and any valuables within the skip. Newham Skip Hire carries liability insurance for damages caused directly by our services, within the limits specified in our coverage policy.
11. Indemnification
Customers agree to indemnify and hold harmless Newham Skip Hire, its affiliates, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of the customer’s use of the skip, including any violations of these terms and conditions.
12. Cancellation and Refunds
12.1 Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery time. Cancellations made within this timeframe are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours may incur a fee equivalent to 50% of the total booking cost.
12.2 Refunds
Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of the cancellation approval. Refunds will be issued via the original payment method unless otherwise agreed upon.
13. Force Majeure
Newham Skip Hire shall not be held liable for any failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, pandemics, or government restrictions.
14. Amendments to Terms and Conditions
Newham Skip Hire reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of any significant changes through our official communication channels. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
15. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Newham Skip Hire operates. Any disputes arising from the use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts within this jurisdiction.
16. Severability
If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of law, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
17. Entire Agreement
These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the customer and Newham Skip Hire regarding the use of our services and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or representations.
